IdeasTap Photographic Award (23-30) - My Backyard
My nan was always pottering around the backyard. Now she's gone. Everything's grey. Growth is slow, plants are hesitant, in the absence of the love and care they once had an abundance of, that she was put on this planet to give. I wanted to show the darkness that lingers in the backyard since my nan was taken from us, I see things abstractly now, lacking colour and energy, yet her vital spark lives on in each decaying bean that she planted over a year ago, in the juju berry tree she planted two years ago.
